As you know, the situation is really horrible all over the world. I flew to Belgium before it really got into quarantine there. Now I'm safe in Belgium. My girlfriend came to join me the day just before the country closed its borders. The most important thing is that she came back and we are together. We postponed our trip to Bali, fortunately, I saw that several tourists being stuck in airports, we made the right choice.
The quarantine settled here quickly, it is estimated until April 5th but in my opinion will continue without any doubt because the infected are still growing at the moment. We still haven't reached the peak, and we are waiting for it impatiently. Tomorrow my girlfriend is going back to Sweden to visit her family, I understand her, and I also push her to do so. I quickly hope that the situation will get better and that we can see each other again soon.
I take advantage of this situation to workout a little, to pay attention to my diet even if we've had a bit of a crunch on Belgian chocolate lately...And to do some home workout. It's hard for me to stop going to the gym since it was a huge habit I took up over the years. Today I'm starting to be creative and take home workout ideas. It's not bad. I will soon make a new blog post to share some dietary tips to stay in shape, to avoid fat intake and also some HIIT (high intensity interval training) and finally, some exercises to work the different muscle groups.
The weather is very nice here, coincidence, glad to have some sun here. It's also a good time to start reading books, I saw this book "The Chimp Paradox" from Steve Peters. It's a book talking about how to recognize how your mind is working, understand and manage your emotions and thoughts, manage yourself and become the person you would like to be. Looking interesting !
I am currently writing under the sun in my garden and I take this opportunity to share a message in my blog, "Stay at home as much as possible", I mean, don't go to see your friends or group, talk with them on FaceTime or calling instead. if you go for a jogging, stay far from people, go alone or with a close family member. I know it's hard, but it's worst it. Nobody is winner in this period... Just think about it "more you go out, the more you put yourself at risk and the more you slow down this fu*** quarantine. It's hard enough as it is...
I'm going crazy after two weeks already. 😭
I hope the virus will be stopped soon. I can't go to Sweden to see her and she can't come back to Belgium. I hate this feeling, that I can't be there if she get sick. We are separated by distance but we stay close through our daily calls & FaceTime.
